Craftywafty is supporting NHS Frontline Services in 2026
A big thank you to the people who keep us going
If you work in NHS frontline services, you already know what “busy” really means. Long shifts, emotional days, and very little time to reset.
At Craftywafty, we’re a small UK papercraft business built around community and creativity — and we genuinely believe crafting can be a simple, accessible form of self-care. That’s why, as part of our Self-Care Week, we’re offering free access to download craft projects and follow along with our YouTube video tutorials, created especially with frontline staff and personnel in mind.
What we’re offering during Self-Care Week
During Self-Care Week, NHS frontline services and personnel can enjoy:
· Free downloadable craft projects (easy-to-follow PDFs you can print at home)
· Step-by-step YouTube video tutorials so you can craft along at your own pace
· Projects designed to be calming, achievable, and satisfying — even if you only have 20–30 minutes
Whether you’re a total beginner or you’ve been crafting for years, the aim is the same: a little pocket of calm, a creative reset, and something lovely made by you.
Why crafting counts as self-care
Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated — and it doesn’t have to be expensive.
Crafting can help because it:
· Gives your brain a break from constant decision-making
· Helps you switch off from screens and scrolling
· Creates a sense of progress (a finished card, a journal page, a small win)
· Encourages mindful focus — one cut, one layer, one step at a time
And most importantly: it’s something you can do just for you.
Featured in Frontline Magazine throughout 2026
We’re also honoured to share that Craftywafty is being featured in the NHS Frontline Magazine quarterly throughout 2026.
Frontline Magazine is more than a great read — it helps fund NHS services, supporting the people and systems that support all of us.
Being included across the 2026 issues means we can:
· Reach more NHS personnel with supportive, creative resources
· Keep building a positive, craft-led self-care message
· Play a small part in a wider initiative that contributes back into NHS services
How to access the free projects and tutorials
If you’re NHS frontline services or personnel, you’ll be able to access the free downloads and tutorials during Self-Care Week.
1. Visit https://www.craftywafty.co.uk/collections/download-projects
2. Download a project (printable PDF)
3. Gather what you have — use your stash, keep it simple
4. Follow the YouTube tutorial step-by-step
5. Make it your own — colour choices, papers, embellishments, all welcome
A gentle invitation
If you’ve been putting yourself last (and let’s be honest, many of you have), consider this your nudge to take 30 minutes.
Make a card. Start a journal page. Try a simple mixed media background. Put the kettle on and craft along.
From all of us at Craftywafty: thank you for everything you do — and we hope these free projects bring you a bit of calm, creativity, and comfort.
