About Mistletoe Magic
Mistletoe Magic is a Christmas collection from Chloes Creative Cards, built around card making. It brings together papers, metal dies, photopolymer stamps and cut and emboss folders, so one collection covers backgrounds, focal images, sentiments and finishing touches.
The range is designed to coordinate, so you can mix products freely: stamp an image, cut matching shapes, emboss a panel and layer everything onto a foiled or pearl printed background.
Project Inspiration
Layered Christmas Cards
Start with a foiled or pearl printed panel, add an embossed or die-cut layer, and finish with a stamped focal image and sentiment. Foam pads lift the top layers for dimension.
Batch Card Making
With several sheets of each design in the foiled pad, you can make a set of matching cards. Use the same dies and stamps across the set for a consistent look.
Background Panels
Cut the snowflake background die from paper or cardstock, then layer it over a coloured mat. The Pearly Circles dies work in the same way for larger circular frames.
Tags and Toppers
Cut fronds, circles and wreath pieces for gift tags, card toppers and parcel decoration.
Embossed Focal Panels
Use the Christmas Rose or Poinsettia cut and emboss folder to produce a finished panel in one pass, then mount it on a card base.
Tips & Techniques
Check Your Machine
Some dies are large, including the snowflake background and the 8x8 Pearly Circles set. Check your machine's plate width before you buy.
Stamping
Mount the photopolymer stamps on an acrylic block, ink them and press firmly and evenly. Clean the stamps after use.
Cut and Emboss Folders
Plate combinations vary between machines, so test with a scrap piece first.
Mixing Papers
Combine the foiled pad with pearl printed paper for contrast between metallic shine and a softer shimmer.
Storage
The Pearly Circles set includes a magnetic storage sheet, which keeps the dies flat and easy to find.
